Paws and Claws 脚垫和爪子

Just a quick post but say a belated hello or 你好 (nǐhǎo) to the cutest members our little Chengdu family; Slipper and Cookie!

We’ve watched them grow from tiny and timid fluff balls into the hyperactive little shits that crave non-stop attention!

We originally rescued Slipper last April and she was incredibly tiny! She used to sleep inside my slippers, despite the probably smell, hence her name. It was a huge responsibility to have at the time having to bottle feed her throughout the night, help her go to the toilet and clean her as we didn't expect her to be so small and so young! However, now she is very healthy and getting quite the chub. Time for a diet I think!

Cookie was adopted from one of Candy's friends whose own cat had not long given birth to a huge litter. She's an odd one our Cookie is. She likes to held like a new-born baby, has this intense high-pitched cry when she's hungry (which at 5am is not pleasant to hear but works fantastically as an early morning alarm) and likes to spoon either one of us in bed! I still don't understand Candy's reason as to why she was named Cookie, she says it's do with the top of her fur looking like cookies floating in milk... I can't see it so each to their own.

(“No don’t study Mandarin, give us your undying love!”)

(The epitome of feline fashion? Candy bought them to keep them both warm in winter...)
